It sounds like a cool place. Would like to know more about the menu. I will search it up. Thanks for the review.

Dining alone when visiting "elsewhere" is a no brainer. It's always been a good experieince.

Closer to home, bar sitting makes it work. Eliminates the soloness. There is someone to the left and someone to the right. If you talk to them, face it, they pretty much have to talk back! A great article, a good talking prompt. Gracias.

You speak to all solo diners but you really speak to me when you describe your mezcal experience. Sounds fabulous, well expressed.

I thought you were a tequila girl, not a mezcal-gal? Was I wrong?

You know me. I can go either way. Love tequila and would love to love mezcal.

You’re a delight to read and a special

pleasure to dine with. Hats off to you, girlfriend, for claiming your solo seat at the bar and the dining hall: you are inspiring always.

Yum! I’m gonna try that dog. Eating solo or with friends on the Vineyard is the greatest! Also super expensive. 🙁

You sold me on the food descriptions alone, but when my eyes hit the photo you included of Quitsa Kitchen, I swooned. Those colors would drive any dreariness away: in in!! :)))

Ahhhhh, how lovely to be back in front of the bartender to try something new! Gorgeous photos and writing and a wonderful history of the cocktail revival! Salud, Anita❤️

WOW! This is entirely dispiriting, dear Anne. Much appreciate the tip on 2023 Napa reds and the "estate" labels to look for.

Thank you, dear Anne, for doing the “hard” job so I don’t have to spend hours picking the next restaurant to go. Coincidentally a friend was telling me about Sunny’s today. Now we’re sure we want to go.

Anne, this looks amazing. Ken and I will put it on our list. Tell me, is Casa Vigil part of a restaurant group?

Anne Manning's avatar

Hi Gayle!! So nice to hear from you. No, it's not part of a restaurant group - unless you count the fact that the owner has the restaurant here and in Mendoza as well as a winery in Mendoza. But I don't think that's what you mean! Let me know what you think of it if you make your way there.
